inauguration of kavarna atrij/dream infopoint in celje, slovenia
kavarna atrij in celje is being inaugurated tonight. it is run by tami and rami, members of kud dream. it will function as the first dream infopoint and a space for cultural events. part of tonights programme are projections of art works by jurij alimoff from moscow and maja pantic from belgrade. best wishes for a great party tonight and for a magnificent future of kavarna atrij!

Jurij Alimoff is a graphic designer continuing a strong family inclination for creating images. He graduated in Advertising and Public Relations from the Tomsk State Pedagogic University in 2004 and already as a student started working in advertising. His work encompasses designing websites, posters and producing videos. He mainly works with vector graphics which he regards most powerful due to its unlimited quality. After working with still graphics for several years, he is now starting to create animated images and is having a lot of fun with it. The 26-year-old designer currently lives in Moscow and is dreaming of working in a team which would make "a really cool cartoon movie, the best in the world". Jurij Alimoff is an active member of Živa kooperativa and this is his message: "As most of you I have hope and dream of a better tomorrow and as most of you I really try to make it better. Let's paint reality!"

Maja Pantić is a painter, sculptor and photographer based in Belgrade. She began her studies in 1994 at the Faculty of Humanities in Belgrade and 10 years later graduated in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Niš. Since 2003 she has participated in several exhibitions, among others in Belgrade, Niš and Aleksinac. Her first independent exhibition will take place next year in Belgrade. In her artistic work Maja combines autodidactic exploration, the traditions of the 20th century and her education experience in order to create the renaissance ideal. The presented works were inspired by travelling which is how Maja creates the closest relationship with her essence. The character of these travel images is finalised later in the serenity of her studio.
