Maja Pantic's Page

Maja Pantić is a painter based in Belgrade. She begann her studies in 1994 at the Faculty of Humanities in Belgrade and 10 years later graduated in painting at the University of Fine Arts in Niš. Since 2003 she has participated in several exhibitions, among others in Belgrade, Niš and Aleksinac. Her first independent exhibition will take place next year in Belgrade.
In her artistic work Maja combines autodidactic exploration, the traditions of the 20th century and her education experience in order to create the renaissance ideal.
The presented works were inspired by travelling which is how Maja creates the closest relationship with her essence. The character of these travel diaries is finalised later in the tranquility of her studio.
